Our new, improved Avocado Butter is a natural light green colour that one would expect from avocado.
A blend of Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Avocado Oil are combined to make this beautifully nourishing green butter. Packed with essential fatty acids, vitamins and amino acids, this super butter contains everything your skin needs.
Avocado Butter is an excellent all over skin moisturiser. It is a soft solid butter which melts upon skin contact, so it can be applied directly to the skin. This butter is an excellent emollient so is ideal for those with dry and/or mature skin. It can support the skins barrier function, protecting the skin from environmental pollutants.
Avocado Butter can be used as an alternative base for massage. It can be used on its own, or combined with carrier and essential oils for a homemade massage blend. It will require melting if you wish to combine it with other oils. You can do this by melting in the microwave at 10 second intervals, taking care as the oils will be hot. It is absorbed by the skin at a fast to medium rate and doesn’t leave a greasy residue.
Avocado Butter is ideal for use in your homemade skincare formulations. It can be used as an ingredient in lotions, creams, balms, soaps, and many more.
You can use Avocado Butter on your hair too. It is deeply nourishing for dry brittle hair; it can be used as an intense conditioning treatment or can be used to help calm frizz and smooth fly away hair during styling.
All vegetable oils and fats are 100% fat and are generally high in calories (on average about 120 calories per tablespoon). Vegetable oils are often used in food preparation for salad dressings, cooking, frying, baking, sauces and marinades. As a general guide, virgin and unrefined oils have more of the oil’s natural flavour and lend themselves well for use in cold dishes. Refined oils generally have longer shelf lives and may have a higher smoke point and therefore be better for high heat cooking, but this varies depending on the type of oil. Each oil has its own distinct flavour and nutrient and Fatty Acid composition, so each oil may be used for different purposes depending on your need.
Certified cruelty free and vegan friendly.
Combine with a carrier oil and your favourite essential oils for a personalised massage blend. We recommend Apricot Kernel (#204) or Grapeseed (#210).
Use as an all over body oil. Perfect for post shower skin moisturisation. Makes an excellent alternative to hand cream. Simply massage a little butter into your hands and nails, for soft and supple skin.
Smooth a tiny amount of Avocado Butter on your hair before styling for super smooth and shiny hair.
Use a hand mixer to whip up your Avocado Butter to make your own super light and fluffy, whipped body butter.
As with any new product always conduct a patch test before first use.
