There are over 400 species of Eucalyptus and Eucalyptus Lemon is one type that is typically used to produce an essential oil. With its sweet, lemony aroma with a woody hint, it is characteristically milder than Eucalyptus Blue Gum. It is often used around the household for a fresh clean boost in scent. It is frequently used in aromatherapy for its invigorating and reviving aroma.
Its penetrating aroma makes it particularly suited to be diffused. When used in a diffuser or an oil burner, Eucalyptus Lemon can leave a fresh, lemony aroma in the room. If you don’t have an aroma diffuser, try putting a few drops of essential oil into a cup of hot water to freshen up the air.
Eucalyptus Lemon is also known to be beneficial in massage. Blended with a carrier oil, it has a cooling effect leaving your body refreshed and revitalised. Alternatively, try diluting a few drops of essential oil in your bath to instantly feel energised.
Thanks to its cleansing and purifying effect on the skin, Eucalyptus Lemon is often used in homemade skincare products and it is particularly useful for those with oily skin.
